POLICIES
My goal as a tutor is to help my students develop a strong sense of their learning style, good study habits, and superior writing skills. I am happy to be of service to you and your child. In order to make the most of the tutoring experience, scheduling consistencies must be maintained. Below are my policies for scheduling and cancellations.
CANCELLATIONS
I have a strict 48-hour cancelation policy. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours notice, are billed at half price. Appointments cancelled within twelve hours are billed at full price. No shows are charged the full fee plus $10. If my schedule permits, the lesson may be rescheduled during the same week without penalty. I will do the best I can to reschedule, but please understand that this is often not possible given the high demand for tutoring services. I take into consideration illness and injury as causes for cancellation and often excuse the first cancellation of the year. Repeat no-shows are subject to being taken out of my schedule. Please respect everyone and make your scheduled appointments a priority.
SCHEDULING
For writing and academic support, I encourage weekly appointments as they create a level of consistency for all involved and help me help my students make weekly progress toward their personal goals. I schedule students who want a standing weekly appointment at the beginning of every fall. The expectation, unless otherwise discussed, is that this weekly meeting time will be reserved for the remainder of the school year (school vacations not included).** If this is not your intention, we can discuss an arrangement that works for your family. **This is not the case for test prep tutoring, which is based on the testing calendar. Therefore, schedules discussed with each client to ensure the best possible outcomes for each testing scenario.
